The Marine Drive project involved a thoughtfully designed extension to an existing high-end home, originally built eight years prior. The goal was to enhance the kitchen and dining area while introducing a modern wet entrance and boot room. This renovation significantly improved the layout and functionality of the space, creating a contemporary family area that meets the needs of modern living.

Enhanced Kitchen and Dining Space
The extension transformed a relatively small kitchen and dining area into a spacious, open-plan environment. The new layout includes a dedicated seating area, perfect for family gatherings and entertaining guests.
The design emphasizes flow and connectivity between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, promoting a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Wet Entrance/Boot Room
A well-considered wet entrance and boot room was added, providing a practical space for storing outdoor gear and shoes, particularly beneficial for beachside living. This addition enhances convenience and organization within the home.
Using bespoke framing to create storage and seating solutions with a acoustic slatted wall panelling back drop.

Timber Frame Construction
The extension features a robust timber frame construction, showcasing cedar cladding that harmonizes with the existing dwelling while adding a modern touch. This choice of materials not only enhances aesthetics but also ensures durability and weather resistance.
Natural Light and Contemporary Design
Large roof lights and strategically placed glazing throughout the extension flood the space with natural light, creating a bright and airy environment. This design choice contributes to a contemporary feel that complements the original home.
The aluminium door fronting the garden space creates seamless indoor-outdoor living, allowing easy access to outdoor areas.
Outdoor Enhancements
The project was finished with elegant porcelain tiles for pathways and patios, enhancing the outdoor experience.
A bespoke copper outdoor shower with a slatted cedar privacy screen was installed beside the new lot room entrance. This feature is ideal for modern beachside living, providing convenience after a day at the beach while maintaining a stylish appearance.
